Im going to be driving a 95 Bronco on a 900 mile trip over the Christmas holidays, and will be towing a Samurai on a trailer for half the trip. want to change sll the fluids before I do.

This truck has the mazda 5 speed, same as in the F-150s I suppose.

and a BW 1356 T-case.

I know what oil goes in the engine and diffs, but
Im finding conflicting info regarding what type oil should be in the trans and T-case.

Anyone know for sure?

ATF.

I would assume you don't have an owners manual.

ATF, but running light gear oil will prolong the life of the Mazda M5od. Might not be a good idea in cold climates.

The 5 speed is newly rebuilt. Original one lasted 180K.

What kind of light gear oil?

Id really rather drive my 4Runner, but I think using the Big Bronco will be safer.
A lifted BB with 33's is gonna guzzle gas, but at least its $1.50 now instead of $4.30

leave the atf in ther - but id use a good synthetic - likes amsoil or red line - mine shifted much better when i used red line

my f250 has amsoil in it, in the e40d and the t case - i wouldnt have it any other way

I would avoid light gear oil especially with the cold temps. It can "clog" some of the passageways. Stick with the good ATF like mentioned above.

plus atf can handle much higher temps than conventional gear oil.

Any particular kind of ATF I should use??

Seems like they make 9 different kinds.

Any type for ford applications will do.
