Has anyone seen a top shifting case that has this plate on the side it looks as though it is a PTO cover plate?

Also the input shaft is larger than normal but it has the same spline count

that input shaft looks like a 79-80 input.

i would like to know what that is for too, maybe marlin would know.

It prob is from a 79/80 because thats basicaly all we got a top shifter in. But the cover on the side has got me confused

Seems like the simple answer is for him to pull the cover off and see what is behind it :p

Hey RUFF, Its definately a PTO cover, ive got a pic of it in my Hilux 'parts catalog', gives part #'s for the PTO cover and gasket.

Going by the codes for what models should have it,
it should be LN 106, 111, RN 10#, YN 106 GEN. Funny thing is 'GEN' means vehicles not going to AUSSIE.

Id scan and post the pic here, but not sure how to post here?

Rumour has it there has been a couple of those t/cases here in NZ, but as said before, the PTO drive is as rare as rocking horse shit.

regards, Mike
