The first table was built using Foam from rc airplane boxes and other toys. Covered it with Hydrocal and plaster cloth and then painted it with textured paint. The second table I tried the Sanded Grout and mortar mix combo. Turned out pretty cool and it didnt cost to much to build. I plan to build about 4 more tables and set them up in my old barn. Maybe have different levels of difficulty as well as different height levels.
Looking for some cool ideas on obstacles to add to the next few tables. Ideas?

IMO...The sanded grout and mortar table was much easier to build and cheaper. Just buy a couple yards of burlap and mix your grout and mortar. Dip some cut up 6-12" strips of the burlap in the mixture and slap it on your formations. Works really well and the surface is perfect for crawling on. My only worry so far is cracking, it was really cold here when I mixed it and it is cracking a little. Anyways, thought you guys would like to see it.

Absolutely! This little guy is a ton of fun out of the box. I have added a few upgrades to mine but it is a very capable rig without them.

Hey Kevin , I just shot you a text . I don't own one of the small Losi RCs , they seem to work well but one thing to consider . If you have friends who own the bigger scale crawlers they seem to have a hard time being able to keep up , not because they're not capapble but because of the size . Again , I don't have one but a buddy of mine does and that's what I've seen . . . Sorry for the thread jack .

The MRC is badass. The only upgrades i think that are must haves new charger, losi blue claws, and weight in the front tires and rear tires.
