It's being put on by Aaron (308fan) from Calguns. You can paypal him, it's legit. The class is set for Jan. 11 at 9 a.m. at my house in Sacramento. You can let me know if you want to attend and I will send you Aaron's paypal. The information is below, pulled from another forum.

I am offering the Utah Concealed Weapons Course for January / Feburary time frame. Course cost is $100. A $25 deposit is required to hold your spot for the class. Payment can be made through Paypal or bank check. I have not worked out the final location as of yet, and I'm open to your suggestions. I will also travel anywhere for a class.

The Utah non resident permit is available to citizens of any state in the USA. With this permit you can carry a concealed weapon in 29 states. See map and list down below. I can supply you with the forms you need to get your Florida permit as well.
Included in the class are the following:

Application, Fingerprint Card- Fingerprinting service included, Passport quality photos included. Four hour lecture on Utah law. Class outline on paper so you can follow along. Note* There is not a range qualification necessary for this class. There will be no shooting. Please leave your guns at home. Valid CCW permit holders are excluded.

Minimum requirements for application for a concealed firearms permit in Utah are:
Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
Proof of good character...whereas the applicant:
Has not been convicted of a felony;
Has not been convicted of any crime of violence;
Has not been convicted of any offenses involving the unlawful use of narcotics or other controlled substances;
Has not been convicted of any offenses involving moral turpitude;
Has not been convicted of any offense involving domestic violence;
Has not been adjudicated by a court of a state or of the United States as mentally incompetent, unless the adjudication has been withdrawn or reverse.
* A criminal background check is conducted for all applicants

What must accompany the notarized application?
A copy of your driver’s license.
One recent color photograph of passport quality (included in class).
One completed fingerprint card (included in class).
Payment of $65.25 to Utah BCI.

I do have a question though,

If you are a CA resident, it would only be good when you are traveling??? Is that the primary reason to get the utah? I am considering the Utah, as it is cheaper, covers more states, and you get an extra year over the Texas CCW...

how many people do you have for the class already?

i'd be kinda interested in it.

We're close to the minimum. Someone swooped in under the instructor while he was getting a sponsorship to advertise on the other forum that this was originally posted on and took a bunch of guys from the class, which is the reason I am expanding the audience for this class. I feel bad that this happened. It will likely be a class of no more than 10. The instructor will be instructing this class no matter the number of people signed up.

Doughnuts, coffee and a kegerator at my house too, now who wants to come? :flipoff2:

Tell him to get a sponsorship here...

or stop advertising in my forum.

This is falling into advertising and being a vendor, please edit this thread or get a yellow star.

No problem, just that he could make a LOT of money on here if he becomes a vendor. it may be worth his time/money.
