I am thinking about doing the chevy HEI ignition on the rebuilt 2F in the frame off I am doing. I have read all the posts on doing the chevy I-6 distibutor into the 2F and I am wondering how they are holding up.
Have any of you guys that have done this had any problems down the road (6months-1year). I suppose I could go with the DUI or classic cruisers set up, but I would like to avoid dropping 3 or 4 bills for HEI. I do have two 78 electronic distributors and one 85 distributor that I could sell to fund this. How much are they worth?? (Dont want to get spectoritis)

I would go with a stock ignition, but the motor has EFI, clifford cam, much head work, and a slight bore-over, SOR headers and Hi-Po yellow paint :flipoff2: ........so I would like to get as much power as possible. Thanks,
Rick.

Try some lime green rustoleum in stead of that turtle slow yellow paints. Then get you some split fires, and a case of ProLong!

Baaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

You going wheeling Saturday? Bring that wagon out, got a new guy from Pittsboro going for the first time. He needs you!

Dont think I am going to make it tomorrow, wife has plans. I am really thinking about coming out to pro-rocks and partying with you fockers though. Maybe I will bring the 60 out if I cant talk the 80 away from the wife. I tell you what, there is no fucking way I am walking to the quarry from the parking lot at badlands.

SHit, as much moaning and groaning as the 60 has been doing I am afraid to beat on her too much, but I would bet that what ever is making noise WILL finally go out and then I wont have to guess what it is anymore:D

ANyhow, doesnt anyone with anything useful have anything to say?:flipoff2:

Did your HEI work or did it explode?

Ricko.

PS Mike, what is up with that avatar? Looks like a MAD Magazine head stuck on a Jennie body. Did someone Do a charactour or Mr. Space ghost?:p

My shit is working, hehehehe, no explosions! Since you aren't gonna wheel, then maybe watchng some wheeling on video would just as good! Hahahaha

I got my copy of the last Erocc comps in the mail. Gonna sit in the back yard tonight and watch it, that is after I finish my shit. Got some guys coming from Kentucky to pick up this dead motor laying on the floor, and another one coming for the tranny/tcase next to it.

How much can you lift?
