I am thinking about doing the chevy HEI ignition on the rebuilt 2F in the frame off I am doing. I have read all the posts on doing the chevy I-6 distibutor into the 2F and I am wondering how they are holding up.
Have any of you guys that have done this had any problems down the road (6months-1year). I suppose I could go with the DUI or classic cruisers set up, but I would like to avoid dropping 3 or 4 bills for HEI. I do have two 78 electronic distributors and one 85 distributor that I could sell to fund this. How much are they worth?? (Dont want to get spectoritis)
I would go with a stock ignition, but the motor has EFI, clifford cam, much head work, and a slight bore-over, SOR headers and Hi-Po yellow paint :flipoff2: ........so I would like to get as much power as possible. Thanks,
Rick.
