so i bought a 60's to 70's f 100 hp dana 44 closed knuckle. i did not realize the closed knuckle part because i was excited to find a drivers side drop hp dana 44 and a little clue less.

so i was thinking, since i am going to narrow it any ways what is the problem with buying some c ends from solid.

is this a good idea or should i just sell the thing?

If you are gonna narrow it and go through it, I can't imagine there would be anything wrong with doing it.

If its 1/2" tubes, you are ok to swap to open knuckes, if its less, its a waste of time, go find another. TIm

He's talking wall thickness. That would be my only worry, I've never seen an open knuckle tube cut to see the thickness.
