Cant really see it cause it was dark, but the front sits a good 2 inches lower than the rear. Gonna see how it sits loaded up and if it isnt level I will go 44044 in the front. Last one

Keith, I used black Hammer paint, it winds up looking kinda like a charcoal color....looks great and holds up to a pretty good beating.

Chris, nice Jeep same color as a friend of mine's scrambler. One thing though get your F@#$@#%! hands off the rollbar :flipoff2: . I don't want to see you lose a few fingers. It's hard to drink  without em. Ok

Keith, what did you use for mounts for your tire carrier. We've rigged up some trailer spindles to hold the pivot end that work well.

Here is a daylight pic. My concern is the rake, although with gear etc I think the rear will sit down a lot. I cant decide if I wanna take out the overload on the F150's or put 44044's up front, or even just add a leeaf the front.

bigdude
08-19-2002, 10:35 AM
Just get two fat guys in the back and take a look at her. Two fat guys are always good at simulating a loaded Jeep :D If it still sits high then get a couple 44044 packs.

Sillyneck
08-19-2002, 10:59 AM
I didn't run the overload and mine sat perfect and still carried all the laod. I put the overload back in to run 44's!

anyways I would have taken it out but keith doesn't like to listen to me LOL :D

Yeah, but gear hanging way out on that rack will affect your suspension differently than two fat guys in the back seat, I'd cut one of the fat guys in half and put half on the rear rack with the remaining 1-1/2 fat guys in the back seat. Possibly quarter one fat guy and distribute to simulate your normal trail load, or, just put your trail gear in and use that to simulate two fat guys in the back.

Nice  Phil and my brother hung off the back rack and it seemed to sit almost level, so I am gonna do a run or two how it is and see how she does, then adjust from there. I figure with 200+ lbs of tools and spare parts, plus 100 lbs of food, camping ger, etc, plus my usual 372 lbs of beer ;) It should sit nicely
