Hi guys,

A while ago I bought a used lockright that the guy actually pulled out of a 4cyl 8" diff from a pickup he was parting out. After disassembling my diff I have noticed that my carrier is 2 pinion while the lockright is a four pinion.

The lockright pages list only the 1610 for 4cyl 8" toy diffs, is this only to suit a 2-pinion? I have seen pictures of a 2 pinion lockright that was supposedly the 1610.

Or, is this 4 pinion lockright possibly the 1620 which would suit the 4 pinion V6 8" diffs?

Just a thought here but if your diff is a 2 pinion carrier then I will assume you have a 4 banger also. And since the Lockright came off of a 4 cyl then you should a-okay:D :D

He probably puled it out of a 4 cylinder TURBO truck, which would get you the 4 pinion desigh - same as a V6.

This lockright is a 4 pinion which the previous owner said was from a four banger, but it is possible that he may have been wrong and that it may have actually been a V6 center.

So does the the 1610 come in 2 and 4 pinion? If the 1610 only comes as a 2 pinion, then is it possible that it would be a 1620 for a 4 pinion V6, considering that it definitely came out of an 8" toy diff of some form.

Thanks
