I'm pretty sure it's a choke and not a transformer but still, bfd. The best part is that he appears to be stealing the electricity he's using. Well, that and the total lack of PPE.

Does it look like that would be much of a loss?
What the fuck are they grounding to, a water pipe? I like how he sticks the clamp right on the transformer/choke whatever so he doesn't burn up the wire on the bigger stuff. What's with the water, cool it down?

the water is to show how "safe" it is.

The dumbass has it touching the grounding rod against the building.
An OSHA inspector would go into cardiac arrest just from watching that insanity.

thats gotta be the Phillipines...
we did a big project there a couple years ago and things like that were common. the workers worked 24hr days for $2-3 a day and never left the jobsite. they took 4 breaks a day, ate a ball of rice, and slept for 2 hours on a piece of cardboard. most of the laborers only wore shorts, no shoes or shirts. the welders had a piece of tinted glass duct taped to cardboard for a hood.
i'm positive the dog in the video is going to be lunch...strays that came onto the site only lasted until the next meal...dogmeat and rice for dinner?
i had a 30hp pump that i needed to get running. they pulled about 100M of temporary wire so i could get the filtration unit running. the wire looked small, but it was 460VAC, so when the electrican said it would be OK, i stood out of the way. we tried to power up the pump, but the breaker kept tripping so the electrian took it out and put in some steel pieces to be the conductor. the motor finally started up, but after about 5 minutes the insulation was starting to sag off the wires.
the week before i got there, a welder fell off the top of the building and "got a hole in his head". he was sleeping, and was going to be back to work the next day according to his supervisor. i heard that everyday i was there for 2 weeks and guess he died at some point. the workers were disposable, for every guy on site, there were 10 more that would come in and work for $2 a day...
unbelievable.
