i've decided I should have a set of these. anyone have a good source?
i noticed HF has them, but i have no idea as to the quality. I would prefer to not have to order a set due to the holiday mail being slow.

any ideas/sources?

How much do you have to stamp?

I've used the cheapy sets before, and the current set I use is a cheapy. They work, sure the $$ sets are nicer and stay crisp longer, but if you just have to do a couple number/letters here and there, cheap gets the job done in this case. For me, I find I tend to loose/misplace the whole set before they really get dull enough to care.

If it is just for occasional use then the HF set is just fine as he mentioned. I have a set from HF, I use them once in a while and so far no problems with them.

yeah i just need something for occasional use. i figure as cheap as they are (and i live pretty close to a HF) i probably couldn't go wrong.

Thanks

I use the HF set to put serial numbers onto roll bars and roll cages. Stamping 4 - 6 numbers onto 3/16" steel plate. They work fine, and are pretty good value for money.

Not suitable for lots of repeated use, but perfect for occasional use.
