Time to install my mechanical guages in my 460/C6. What is the best place to put the trans temp guage? Should I tap right into the aluminum trans pan? Is it possible to have the brass fitting welded to the aluminum pan?

Where should I put the oil temp guage? Is it best to tap into the pan and weld in the brass fitting? What other options do I have?

Lastly, there is a port behind the intake on the back of the block. Can I use this for my oil pressure guage?

Never installed guages before as you can probably tell.:D

Don't have an opinion on the last two, but on the tranny temp, I put mine on the hot oil line flowing to the tranny cooler.
