I have never seen or heard of one of those.

Was it some sort of special run built for some tool company.

It may be a good deal but for only about $300.00 more you can get a brand new Miller 252 which in my mind would be the way to go.

Used machine no warranty new machine 3 years

It would be an easy decision for me.

I'd second this. You can do much better than that

That welder rocks and is WAY more machine than a MM252. It's about 20% more powerful and does TIG and stick which the MM252 can't. It's about $3K new so if you paid that or maybe $1.5K and it had all it's included equipment to do TIG you'd be happy. I bet it won't last long at that price. It cracks me up when people poo poo a welder just because they've never heard of it. If this thread lasts for a while someone will claim a HH187 is the best welder ever.

ESAB's are great machines, but you can get a new one for $2.4K. At $1.2K probably, $1.5k maybe, $1.8K, probably not.

Any chance you might be willing to tell us who's selling 260 Multimasters for $2400. ESAB lists them at $3800 or so.

If you have never even heard of this machine how can you give any valid "advise"?

Having used mine side by side with a Miller 251 the ESAB will walk all over the Miller and it has a much better duty cycle, not to mention the 4 roll wire drive the ESAB has. The $30 inductance control module is a must have though.

And that is just the wire side, you also get a DC CC side that you can use for DC SMAW and GTAW.

That being said $1800 is a little bit steep for a used machine that you can get for $2400 new. I would offer $1400 and go from there.

Looks better than yellow, 600 less than a new one before you talk him down. If it's really unused I'd say that's not to bad.

That is a great welder. I'd buy it for $1,800 and never look back. When I bought my welder I was bummed at how well welders kept their value. Even welders 5+ years old were selling for only a few hundred off their new price. I think the welders 10+ years old were selling for their original cost. At some point you just have suck it up and get what you need.
