: tube notcher

Anybody used this type of tube notcher...only good for straight cuts i guess though.

dunno what the exchange rate is right now, or how much shipping would be, but i think your hard earned pounds would be better spent on a jd2 notchmaster

Never seen one like that before, but that's not saying anything. I been pleased with my Harbor Freight notcher for any cuts that I don't do with the chopsaw or Metabo.

Exchange rate? The buyer and seller are both across the pond from us...

Looks a lot like the williams low buck notcher. You notch each side of the tube separately, so to notch an angle, you notch one deeper than the other. I have seen them, but never used them. Seems like a bit of a PITA compared to some of the other setups available.

Also, it is listed as a pipe notcher. I will make damned certain it can do tube sizes before you sink money into it.

yer not going to bother with it, looks like i have found a decent one here in the UK, similar to JD2, £69 does angles and offset.

we use them on pipe at school no prob work good.... but on the light stuff we use them on
