what are the dimensions eye to eye and center pin offset on the front springs out of cucv pickup with 1 ton axles?? Good candidate for a spring swap for SOA? would be going into a scout II.

Not going to bolt right up... dimensions are the same as any other 1-ton Chevy...

Springs are quite a bit wider than stock Scout springs.

yea I knew they weren't going to bolt up. Thats where my curiosity came if they were a good spring to use. I've heard of 52", 56" spring swap in the front of chevys and seen some in scout II's. But those 52 and 56 were originially rear springs, they'd probably have a little more spring rate to them since they were in the rear.

Being that the cucv's are called 1 1/4 ton vehicles I thought maybe the fronts would be a good spring, just seeing if people have used them before.

Another spring question, how much does the width of the spring have to do with the spring rate...or is it just the thickness of the spring and the arch.
