I am thinking of putting a chevy 350 in my pathfinder. I have never seen it. If I do it I will run th350 and chevy 203/ford 205 doubler i allready have a HP dana 60 and 14bolt sitting in my side yard. I just picked up a clean 91 pathfinder with a blown engine. And want to build it big. :D

I've seen one in a rear drive but not a 4x4.
I'm looking at putting my turboed VH45 into a 93 3 door I have sitting outside. I'll fit H233s front and rear but the front may end up with an 'A' arm system rather than SA, but I'm not sure yet.
I have spent a fair amount of time working things out and it is a real tight fit getting the motor in. Width is fine even for the VH45 (quad cams) so a 350 should be easy. The problem was length. There wasn't quite enough to fit fans on the radiator without cutting the firewall.

If you go to use a 350, here are some suggestions to make swapping a little bit easier for you...

-GO EFI The smaller distributor cap will keep you from having to massage your firewall so much. Plus, you will either have to have that or propane to get up those steep angles.

-SAS is a must: I believe this was your plan in the first place, but Nissan has to use a funky-looking pan with a small sump that is wide side to side, but very narrow front to back. And IIRC, it sat off to one side as well. It has to be that way just to clear the front diff.

-Taurus or Mark III fans- You will not be able to run a clutch fan, or even a flex fan without setting your engine back into your firewall. With dual fans, you can place the water pump pulley in between the two fans, and this will get you more clearance.

-Put your radiator as far foward as possible- I would suggest using a late 80's model corvette radiator. Theyre thin, small, and they cool exceptionally well. Theyre used for V8 S-10's and you can get a brand new one for like $130 from Jaguars That Run. They even have a built-in tranny cooler.

Thats all that I can think of at the moment. Good luck!

whats your wheel base?

if its less than 100" it is going to be very tight in the rear drive shaft.

i'm doing it. some variation of efi is a must. i'm moving the radiator to the back, and modifying the firewall. t400/203/205 goin in behind it. not sure if your planning on keeping your body complete, i lost most of mine long ago. sorry no pics right now.

Yea I am going for it. I just picked up an 87 tbi 350 I got a line up on a free th400 so I will get the 203/205 doubler soon. It will be a slow build due to money but it will be nice. I have a hp dana 60 and a 14 bolt rear. I want to run 40s. but we will see what happens. I will start a build thread when its time. Thanks for the insight. :D
