I've located one to buy. It's in an otherwise dead D1. The shifter is very stiff, and it doesn't look like it's been leaking. Is there anything else in particular I should look for or beware of before I cough up the coin and pull the sucker out? PITA factor will outweigh price on this one.

I do plan on at least resealing it, if not rebuilding if inspection reveals excess wear. I know to get the mounts and e-brake drum/cable/lever for fitting it to my RRC. Forgot to check mileage, but the price is right even if it needs a little TLC. I already got the shift pattern sticker :D:D:shaking: I guess I should grab the yokes and wiggle for excess sloppy play.

Anything else I should check or beware of?

It's normal for it to be hard to to shift if the owner never used it. I bought my Disco stock from an old british lady, and the tcase shifter had nail polish on it:shaking: It was hard to shift at first, but now it shifts nice and smooth after a bit of use.

Thanks Matt. Hopefully resealing and cleaning stuff up will make it shift smooth as a babies shifter.:smokin:
