A few friends and I are starting up an offroad racing syndicate, and we're hoping to compete in the next Baja 1000. However, we're having a hard time finding sponsorships for the company or event. We have two jeeps set up for the 1000, and my truck is currently being rebuilt for the express purpose of daily driver/chase truck/advertisment truck. Any ideas for to get started? We currently are sponsoring a newley build trophy truck as well as a car from the NASCAR circuit, if everything goes as planned. We're meeting with a local shop owner this week to see about getting his sponsorship, which will also provide us with the BFG sponsorship, though we're looking for other sponsorships.

put what you just said into a business proposal

start here: Offroad Impact
and here: SEMA

network as much as possible
bring lots of proposals for potential sponsors
get ready for lots of people to say no
more no's you get the closer to yes you will get with that one potential

I think I'm lost on this one....

Your sponsoring a trophy truck and a car that races one of the nascar programs, and now your building 2 jeeps and a chase rig for the 1000.

But your asking here, how to secure sponsorships

Are you a sponsor of a trophy truck? And a NASCAR car? Thats 5-7 mil a year already, I would think building 2 jeeps could be done under a coffee and doughnuts account for an organization like yours.....:p

You're going to need a lot more than one chase truck to chase one Jeep, much less 2 rigs for the Baja 1000. What class are you planning on running a Jeep in?

BFG sponsorship sounds fishy as well. There are plenty of established teams out there paying for tires I'd think they'd sponsor before giving $$$ to a new team.

Look man, the guy came on here looking for help. Why are you trying to make him look like an idiot? :shaking:

If I wasn't confused as to what he was asking for, I'd be willing to talk to Amsoil about sponsoring his nascar/baja/offroad syndicate/trophy truck venture..
