I'M LOOKING AT HOW IM GOING TO SOLVE MY FUEL STORAGE PROBLEM AND I NEED INPUT FROM THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE. MY STOCK TANK IS SHOT, AND I NEED THE ROOM FOR MY SEATS ANYWAY. I HAVE A CHANCE TO USE MY BRO'S 20 GALLON FUEL CELL, BUT THE ONLY WAY I SEE TO MOUNT IT IS IN THE BED, AND I REALLY DONT WANT TO DO THAT BECAUSE THIS IS GOING TO BE A CAMPING/FISHING/SKIING RIG NOT JUST A TRAIL RIG AND I NEED THAT SPACE FOR EQUIPMENT. I THINK IT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED ABOUT WHAT TANKS YOU CAN FIT UNDER THE BED? AND WHAT THEY COME OUT OF? I'M LOOKING FOR MAX FUEL CAPACITY WITH MINIMUM LOST SPACE, THE STOCK TANK IS 15 GALLONS, CORRECT? ANY IMPUT IS GREATLY APRECIATED, THANKS GUY-

Your a welder/ fabricator correct ? so use your skills and build a custom tank that will accomplish every thing that you just outlined in your post.
Trying to find one that would do what you want might be kind of tough and doubt that you would happy with it.
Both of my cruisers have custom tanks that I built exactly how I wanted them, It's not hard, just figure out where you want it and come up with some dimensions and calc out your capacity and if your happy with the results start fabbing.
As you say "RATHER BE WELDING" so get busy :D
If you need any help let me know, I have been building fuel tanks for general aviation aircraft for 21 years.

METAL- THE ONLY PROBLEMS WITH THAT IS THAT I DONT HAVE OPEN ACCESS TO A TIG WELDER RIGHT NOW, I HAVE NO SHOP AT HOME AND I HAVE TO WHERE TO PUT THE CRUISER IF IT TOOK IT INTO OUR SHOP, AND AT THIS POINT I WANT TO WHEEL IT BAD, IT'S BEEN IN THE BUILD FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW AND I'M JUST JONESING TO GET IT RUNNING. I GUESS I'M KINDA RUNNING INTO FORSIGHT ISSUE'S THAT WHEN I REPLACED THE BED I STILL THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO USE THE STOCK TANK SO I DIDNT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS FOR FUEL STORAGE UNDERNEATH OR OTHERWISE AND I COULD STILL USE SOME ADVISE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE DEALT WITH THIS ISSUE BEFORE, IE CELL PLACEMENT, INTERFERANCE ISSUES I HAVENT THOUGHT OF, ECT. HOW DO YOU SUMP YOUR TANKS? AND DO YOU BAFFLE THEM OR HAVE ANY FOAM IN THERE?

I HATE the factory 40 tanks. They are so in the way of trackbars or a centered rear diff.
Do what i am in the process of doing...
I bought a rci 16 gal tank which fits exactly behind the shock bar thing and my bumper. Doesn't hang low, and it is easy to make a fat skid plate for it later.
I will be takin pics for ya'll soon.
I was looking at my local pick-a-part today and saw a tank I get to plumb in under the back as an aux tank (usual aux tank location). It is in a POS J**P Cherok**. 18 gal, sender and hoses go into front of tank, built in TBI pump, and I hope it is baffled. Looks like its skid plate would work too.
Anyone else try this yet? I'll try to get measurements.
