I am looking for a good source for used dodge parts I have three dodge trucks a 78 one ton 4x4, 85 dodge one ton 4x4 and a 98 3/4 ton 4x4. I am always looking for parts. Currently I am in need of a adapter for my 85 between the 727 auto and the transfer case. I have been told the adapter is the same between the 208 and 205 cases. If anyone has this it would be great or tell me where I can order it from. I do not have th etime to go search the pick and pulls.

I read your post and it got me curious. I always assumed that the adapters between the 205 and 208 were different. It just so happens that I have one of each, and when I put them side-by-side it appears (to the naked eye) that they are identical. So, I would say you can probably use either . . .

Yes The adapters are the same. After I was told that by some one here on the board I recalled the local dodge wrecking yard and yes they did have one for a 208 and it is the same as mine.
