Iam new to this site, I was told by a friend i should share with you what iam building, first off Iam Ron Johnson, I have a rare vintage truck and car collection, My toys were built by Vic Hickey, My first is my 1969 Chevy C-10 4X4 truck that first raced in the 1969 Baja 1000 and then the 1969 Baja 500 and the 1969 Las Vegas Mint 400 and it won Riverside in 1970 with Mickey Thompson driving and was owned by Steve McQueen at that time, Then i also own a 1970 Olds 442 Baja race car built by Hickey also and driven by James Garner, It was called the GOODYEAR GRABBER OLDS , Right now Iam building a 1969 Blazer to compete in the next Mint 400 and Baja 500, This build will be featured in Dirt Sports Magazine and i will have several major sponcers, I will try to post photos after i post this letterThe body will be custom fiberglass, The motor will be a 13 to 1 358ci Nascar style motor, Currie is building custom fabbed 9" rear with 40 spline axles and Camburg floaters with a spool and 5.29 gears, The front will be a fabbed 9" also, Iam running Deaver springs and King shocks, The list is way to long to do this right now, I will keep you all updated if you are interested, Ron ,Tacoma ,WA

Do you know James (Jim) Norris? He told me that when he was a grad student in SoCal, back in the 60s, that he and Vic were constantly working on his scuba expedition truck.
