hydro assist drag link or Tie rod???? where do i mount the ram??? does it matter?? is one better then the other???

Tie rod. Try and mount above the rod for protection.

Which vehicle / kind of steering???

jeep TJ cross over steering not sure yet on heims or TRE's !

For crossover steering I say tie-rod.

I've been thinking of putting hydro assist directly onto the hi-steer arm on the knuckle. 1st hole on driver is assist. 1st hole pass.=drag link. 2nd is for tie-rod-both sides. Is that an option?

i've been told doing that would cause more stress on the knuckle itself do to the ram pushing arm (or drag link) one way and tires (tie rod the other) pulling the other.......like tearing a piece of paper in half! if that makes since. i am just assuming tie rod would be the best answer! ram wont be pushing on steering box and wont be trieing to pull knuckle in 2 different directions. thanks guys
