I put in a different MAF and the rig seems to have more poop (I need to test in on the roocks to be sure) but the sensor light still comes on...any ideas??? Could anything else cause that code to be generated? This MAF shit is making me lose my hair...and I ain't got any to spare!!!!
I did get the VSS fixed, the custom cable (toy to sami) inner cable was too short causing the spline to come out of the back of the speedo. One code left...HELP!!!!!!!!

uhm, no help on the CE light..
how much did the toy-sammy cable cost? did you re-calibrate the speedo too?

The speedo cable was around $70.00, I havent attempted to recalibrate it yet....not sure I ever will.

You need to find FSM to make sure the signals are getting to the ECU and what the signales are suppose to be. Also, did you clear the error codes out after you installes the new MAF?
Does anyone have a FSM for the 1.6 16 valve EFI?

I cleared the codes, but it keeps coming back, and the vss code is gone. A neighbor of mine (who's also a wheeler) runs a shop in Ukiah, he said he'd see if he could get the low down. It does seem to have more grunt.

My neighbor Mike came over tonight and figured it out using his professional mechanic whiz-bang sheot combined with lots of advice from Brent at TT. There was a bad ground @ the MAF.
BTW-TT has been really helpful through this whole thing...awesome service!

Uhhh yeah...Labor Day. I'm bringing the whole family, so is Tusker, Bobaki will be there, Toymaker, Incontrol?, and others. Just a mellow trip of short runs...I can't wait!
