roctaco 12-31-2008, 02:00 AM Without too much detail, how strict is Nevada on smog. I may sell a Cali truck that will not pass in cali to someone who says he can register it in Nevada. I'm more wondering about if they require C.A.R.B. approval numbers on aftermarket engine components that have been installed on vehicles reqiuring smog inspections. Also, how old does a vehicle have to be before it becomes smog exempt? In Cali it's 1975 & older. EarlKann 12-31-2008, 10:22 AM Probably depends on what county. I live in Storey County (Virginia City) and we don't have to smog our vehicles at all, WOOHOOO!!!!!!! If its a small town, chances are there is no smog, (unless its in washoe or Clark).
