The pipe that we use is NOT cheap. You will have more in buying the pipe than what I listed the pvc inserts as. Not to mention that we machine the edge of the pipe so it will fit the tires and machine a grove for the nut on the back of the air valve so you don't break it off when mounting them. There is an art to getting the right size and I'm not sure it's something I would want to homebrew since you are not going to be saving any money. Around here anyhow....You can only buy the pipe in 20' sticks and I have to buy 6 of them at a time.

The two halves of the rims are about 1/2 inch from meeting, I assume this is due to the thickness of the tire bead compared to the 36inch goodyears origionally used. The pvc insert width we came up with works on radial and bias ply. If you have swampers you might need a 3/4" drive impact but they work on all tires. I'm yet to find one that they don't. We taper the edge of them. Making it to where they bite the tire better, rather than have the edge just flat.

Here's a pic of my final product. The half rings and pressed center came from MadMac but I got it all through 406YJ. Got 12 bolts with the center cut out, new orings, rubber 2 piece runflats (I cut them down) and 37" tires. Even though 406YJ broke his foot when my order was made he got them send out at great shipping rates. Great to deal with.

Here's a pic of my final product. The half rings and pressed center came from MadMac but I got it all through 406YJ. Got 12 bolts with the center cut out, new orings, rubber 2 piece runflats (I cut them down) and 37" tires. Even thought 406YJ broke his foot when my order was made he got them send out at great shipping rates. Great to deal with.

After reading this all of my prices have just doubled:D

I know that I sell way to cheap but it is fun to see someone take a not so good looking rig, slap some wheels and tires under it and have people turn their heads to look at it. It's even more fun when people send you pictures of your stuff on their sick rigs.
