I need help, swapped a 4.3 vortec into an 83 TOY and love it, engine runs great, lots of power and zero problems from the engine. My problem is coming from the freakin 4L60E trans I put in since it sees a lot of highway miles.
The shift into 2nd gear just about gives me wiplash but all other shifts are smooth. It will run up to about 2300 rpms then slam into 2nd. If it starts doing as soon as I start it up it will continue, some times I can turn the truck off and it will stop for awhile but usually starts acting up again later.
