If so, what receiver did you use? How did the build go? :)

Used an ohio rapid fire 80% flat. Build was challenging, but not exceptionally difficult. Mine is a frankenstein rifle, using CETME, HK91, and PTR91 parts.

I am on a waiting list for a receiver jig. If I am lucky I will see it in May 09.

So I have a PTR 91 that I am looking to pimp with some RTG take off G3 parts. Wide handguard, carry handle, whatever.

I was looking at the FULL auto lowers they sell...WTF? I understand the clip and pin and have a lower that looks like it has the fun button, but how are they selling navy lowers like that? I AM NOT looking to do this, but could you not install one of those and be in ATF knock knock land?

I AM NOT LOOKING TO DO THIS. But have wondered how they sell those. Help me out.

It's not illegal to sell FA parts. And it's not illegal to have them in your possession.

The receivers must be made so that they cannot accept an unmodified full-auto lower. The full-auto lower must also be modified so that it cannot accept a full-auto trigger pack. The bolt carrier must also be modified so that it cannot trip the auto sear.

So once all is said and done, you will end up with a rifle that looks like it is select-fire, but in reality is a perfectly legal, non-NFA item. Mine has the SEF lower.

In order for you to get in trouble, you must have a receiver that can accept an unmodified full-auto lower.

Thanks.
