If you really could hook that up like that, and have drivetrain that could handle it, that would be one totally awesome machine. Loose any body in front of the windsheild, and any body behind the doors, and you might be able to make that work.

The top of my cage on my buggy is only going to be 2'6" higher than the top of my 53" tires. Nearly the same principle , just in a different scale.

Look at the little picture at the left of 350's message...... He's already Hooked up like that. I think Rockwells can handle it.;)

Uhhh yeah..... I know about his other rig. Do you see the title of this thread referring to lift? His other ride is WAY BIG with allot of lift. If you read what I said "If you really could hook that up like that...that would be one totally awesome machine" emphasize LIKE THAT, as in at that height, which I figured would be understandable given to the subject of thread.

His other rig is awesome as well, but in my opinion not as awesome as if he could build one to sit like that on those 44's.

I really love the Rock Stomper Toy. That vehicle was a major inspiration for my buggy that I am building. Because I didn't have a vehicle to start with , therefore no stock suspension to base measurements off of, I can not say that I am running with no lift. I have no starting point to base a lift # off of. I am just trying to build as low as possible. Although on a vehicle that came stock with say 30" tires, The tires that I am using would give 12" of lift just in the tires. I am leaving 6" of uptravel for the axle which I think is just about right. Top of cage height is 7'. I wanted it lower than that, but I just don't see a way to get in any lower than that, and still accomplish everything that I required.

I am not really building it for comps, just for enjoyment, so I don't think it will give me too much grief.

That is a really nice looking trail vehicle that you have built there , SAR_Sammy . I bet it is a very capable ride.
Totally dig the fabricated inner fender wells. I commend you for going through the work to replace them rather than just cut them off and throw them away.

Its really not got a lot of lift, about 8", which is 2" LESS than the truck I am selling that has 35s on it.

I was just curious, sorta like doing it hybrid style. No lift, just remove everything that is in the way, just like Scotts yota.
Maybe extend the wheelbase a little. I'd say it's doable.
The reason I didn't try it on my truck is this little thing called weather, so I wanted to run a full body.
I still like the idea. Maybe one day...

Oh yeah, the truck in the pics has a springover and 31s, so it's about 8" taller than stock.

SAR_Sammy, awesome job on the fenders!

just out of curiosity, where are the pedals(gas.....) after you cut all the body off....I measured to put 31's with no lift and found the back very easy but on the front I would have to trim where the pedals are into the passenger compartment.

So where do your feet go or is this mod for very short people?

Just another Newbie.................with another stupid?

92 Zukimoo with one piston missing, 88 stock, 88tin top.......ALL covered in mud........

Remember, there's no stupid questions, just stupid people that ask questions!:flipoff2:
Just kidding dude. Most folks here in the states push the axles out a few inches, or more, in the front. Eliminating the need to clearance the rear of the front fenders.;)
