"This is a huge lathe, in excellent condition. It needs a belt, but has a new motor also. All gears are in working order and have all their teeth. Carriage feed is in working order. Bed is free of dents and is not warped. Spindle has not been crashed. You can part it out on Ebay for much more than I'm willing to take, I just don't have the time or patience.""

Yay or neigh? Anyone know what the spindle bore is on a vintage 9x40 logan?

Hell of a deal! If you have the cash it is more than worth buying. Not exactly sure on bore but it should be 1"-1 1/4" bore.

I would buy it in a second if given the chance. Not sure about its suitability for use on gun parts necessarily though.

True.

Are you sure it's a 9 incher? It looks like the model starts with a 92X which would be an 11"er like mine, and likely the same model that I've got.

Mine has a spindle bore of a bit over 1 3/8, as I can slide a 1 3/8 bar through it without resistance.
