I have a set of Toyo MT's that need to be replaced and would like to know if anyone has any experience with the parnelli Jones tire...

Thanks,
Daniel

I've known a few people who have had the PJ's, and they have all been less than impressed with them. Loud, wear fast, and uneven, and cost way too much.

I was looking at another set of toyos or possibly cooper stt's
Then I found the dirt grips in a 38 x 15.50, so I was exploring my options.

Sounds like the dirt drips are no longer an option with the bad treadwear and all.

I really like my toyo mt's when not towing, but as soon as that 16-17K gets hooked on there the tread sure goes away quick. Almost $1,400 for a tire I'm only seeing 20-25,000 miles out of. :barf:

meh, I've run the PJs in a 38.5" flavor. Only set of tires I've really liked. I had close to 60K on them when they finally got replaced. I've still got 2 to run for trail spares on my 4runner and they still have about half tread. Noise reallly should be one of the last concerns. Any tire bigger than factory is going to whine at least some. The tread block spacing dictates that.

i've got the Toyo MT's in 33x12.50 on my F350 and love them right now, only issue i see with them in the future is that if they're not rotated around every 3000 miles they will start to "cup" which makes a lot of noise. the 33's ride really smooth, handle very well, and are overall a great tire if you ask me. dont have any experience with PJ's though ... but i definately give two thumbs up to the MT's ....

Keep your toyo's. They can be beat for mileage on a lifted 1 ton. Check craigslist for used toyos like I did. I got six 35x18 for $400 65% left. Les Schwab bent me over on my first set cuz I bought them back in 02/06 it was REALLY hard to find toyo MT's.

I have the toyo MT's great tire .. however its a little loud for a tow rig as in i can hear it over my powerstroke

Well I went to the tire shop to get the toyos and the guy showed me both the toyos and a procomp all terrain xt side by side.

I ended up with the procomps, they are like an all terrain on steroids, and very quiet. I do like the toyo mt, but with my truck being a street queen the at's are pretty sweet!

These tires are on the F350, not the bronco

really? i dont have the stroke, but i do have the 7.3 ... and i cant hear my tires at all .... they've only got a few hundred miles on them so far though .... guess i'll have to see how they sound when i get a few thousand on them ... but so far i'm quite satisfied with them. actually putting 37x13.5's on my CJ 5 .....
