This is not something I am going to quit selling, so thanks for all the orders. Been selling since 2006 and plan to sell for many years to come.

I am selling a complete bolt on disc brake conversion kit for $315 including shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states! Yep I really mean complete - here's what you get:

3/8" thick laser cut brackets
DOM bracket spacers (when needed)
grade 8 mounting hardware
new GM rotors
rebuilt GM calipers with steel pistons
semi metallic brake pads
new inner hub seals
new caliper pins
rubber flex hoses
banjo bolts with copper washers
anti-rattle clips

http://www.mustangfarm.com/forsale/reardisc.jpg

I have kits for these axles:

73-87 Chevy single rear wheel full floater 14 bolt axle 10.5" ring gear

62-72 Eaton corporate rear end, full floater ( same kit as the 73-87 14 bolt)

73-87 Chevy cab and chassis full floater 14 bolt axle 10.5" ring gear

88-up second generation 14 bolt 10.5 full floater/ need to know:
if drums slide off after removing wheel-need "gen 2" kit/ if wheel is removed and drum is behind the wheel hub and studs then you need the 73-87 14 bolt kit. (there is no reasoning as to what year will have what, we have seen both versions all thru the 90s)

79-up 14 bolt semi-float 6 or 8 lug 9.5" rear axle / not positive what year this axle was first produced / this kit sells for $340.00 because new wheel studs come with it.

72-79 Ford dana 60 rear axle/ have found that it will fit 68-71 ford dana 60 rear axles but slight spacer modification is sometimes required using flat washers.

76-93 Dodge dana 60 rear axle

94-up Dodge dana 60 rear axle - Weld on kit only

68-72 Chevy dana 60 rear axle

72-up Jeep pick-up dana 60 rear axle( jeep took over the gm dana 60 rear axle in 1972 when chevy dumped it in favor of the 14 bolt) same kit as the chevy 60

Ford sterling axle - $390 (uses special rotors)

Other axles? Generally I have found that these same rotors will work on most other axles, but you will need to use weld on brackets. Just tell me the diameter of the tube near the end of the axle and I will send you weld on brackets.

Instructions? No I don't have detailed instructions. This is really simple to install for anyone who has a clue about how brakes work. Only word of advise is most of my kits require the rotor on the backside of the hub.

Emergency brakes? Yes, I have eldarodo calipers for $200 more. This gives a manual e-brake that hooks up to your cables.

I accept paypal or postal money orders. Orders will ship from TN. I just do this as a side job, so it takes a day or two to box it up and ship out. I do not sell to or ship to Canada.

Send paypal to gubni at comcast.net and include the year and type of axle you need the kit for.

You can also call me if you want but I cannot accept credit cards over the phone. 423-737-0265 -- Shawn

Upgrade to braided stainless hoses for only $20 more.

Have a Kit for C&C 14 bolts?

My kits don't fit dually or CC 14 bolts because the backing plate is so far from the hub the spacer would have to be too long. I can hook you up with a weld on kit.

It works with most depending on backspacing. It will work with all 15" rims with 3" or less backspacing. It works with most that have 3.5" or less. It will not work with most that have 4" or more.

Just so I am clear. The hubs I have are the type that the drums slide off (not pressed on). Is the kit the same? Do you have to press the studs out, install rotor and new studs from the back side?

I checked my list of axles and found I have a kit for 79-up 14 bolt semi-float 6 lug 9.5" rear axle. This kit sells for $330.00 because new wheel studs come with it. I sell it as a complete kit with calipers and rotors. If you just want brackets and lines then $100 shipped. The calipers and rotors are from an early 80's chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 truck front. Don't forget you will need studs, banjo bolts, caliper pins, and brake pads in addition to the rotors and calipers.

Generally 15" wheels will fit, but it depends on the backspacing. All 3" or less will fit. All 5" or more will not. From 3" to 5" depends on the wheel.

79-up 14 bolt semi-float 8 lug 9.5" rear axle / basically same details as 6 lug kit including price of $330

72-79 ford dana 60 rear axle/ have found that it will fit 68-71 ford dana 60 rear axles but slight spacer modification is sometimes required using flat washers.

You said rotors and calipers are from early chevy 4wd truck fronts, can you be a little more specific on what years and 1/2-3/4-1 ton?

Also, i'm sure you are getting tired of answering this but i saw the price changed a few bucks throughout the thread, is it still $270 shipped for the standard kit without brackets, and $470 shipped with eldo calipers? With the eldo calipers you metioned a custom lever, what lever are you talking about, or what else that isnt with the standard kit is included in that setup?

Thanks.

Thanks.

There are many years that will work such as 1980. 8 lug kits are 3/4 ton. No brackets saves $45, so $270 add $200 for ebrake calipers so $470 shipped. There is a lever needed to attach the ebrake cable to the caliper. It's not included if you buy the calipers anywhere else. I have them specially made and include it with my kit. That's the only specially made part.

I have a Dana 60 Full Float(32 spline) under my Ford E350 van...the Drums are HUGE!!!

I'd like to know if you've sold any of these kits to any Ford Van owners?

If so...have you had any feedback on the install?

None to a Van. Is it semi float? Are you sure it's a Dana 60 and not a Dana 61? Send me a PM with details.

What is the difference (as far as the kit goes) between the late model and early model 14B kits?
How does the kit overcome the issue with the hub on the later model not being machined flat?
Lastly, are the components in your kit compatible with the brackets sold by Ballistic? http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/14-Bolt-Bolt-on-Caliper-Bracket_p_1603.html#

The flange on the axle is different, which means my bracket is different. The rest is the same.

How does the kit overcome the issue with the hub on the later model not being machined flat?

Never found this to be a problem. I've sold many and nobody has ever told me there was an issue. If it helps any the rotor goes on the back side of the hub.

Nothing. The odd lug pattern will make it a custom job. You will need to find a rotor that will fit your hub and then drill your lug pattern into it.

Is there any way to modify your kit to work with 4.5 backspacing on 78 Ford D60?

It works with most depending on backspacing. It will work with all 15" rims with 3" or less backspacing. It works with most that have 3.5" or less. It will not work with most that have 4" or more.

Great deal! I will definitely be buying a kit once I find one that fits a D60HD from a 70's Ford. The only difference between that and a regular D60, as far as I can tell, is the axle tubes are 3 1/8" in diameter and the center section has extra webs on it for strength. Any idea if your caliper brackets fit? If not, I'm guessing only slight modification is necessary to open up the center hole a little.

In theory bent is stronger, but the spacers are small and the difference in strength isn't worth noting.

Do you have or can you make brackets for the skinnier mount later el dorado calipers? 5.5" bolt centers instead of 7"? Got what were supposed to be matched calipers and brackets off the classies and instead of spending a ton on the early calipers i'd like to get the brackets instead.

excuse the dumb question if it was covered before, but what style rotor does the 2nd gen 14BFF kit come with? the rotor thinkness, diameter, etc... is it the same as a front rotor would be?

pm me, getting money together for one of these kits :D

Sorry if this had been covered already, but is there a price difference in the weld on kit for a C&C 14 bolt? Wouldn't need the bracket spacers or grade 8 mounting hardware. I personally don't need the inner hub seals either if that would result in any savings. Thanks!

I have a C&C, but already have bent brackets. My understanding is the hubs and mounting plate are the only difference. So with the correct brackets your kit should work, correct?

Yep, take off $40 without the brackets on my kit. Everything else will work.

do you know if there is any difference between the front 3/4 ton calipers and elderado calipers when it comes to piston area, clamping force, and overall performance?

or is the elderado caliper basicly all the same with just parking brake ability?
