Waste Managment is hiring, if you don't mind working of garbage trucks.

Pay is good, and the benifits are awesome.

Good luck!

Might not be a long term job with the state budget... but some school districts are hiring for bus mechanics.

Most school districts are run by thieves. So if that's true, then he'd fit right in.

Even though its considered the oil change guy, you do more than just oil changes and the pay is really good. I still say you should check them out. It might be worth it.

I don't know the name of the person you need to talk to. My next door neighbor used to be their oil change guy and he left because he got a job that pays the same locally. He was the one that asked me to pass along the word about the job availability. Just go in there and ask for the person that is in charge of hiring.

The address of the Quality Tune-Up where my neighbor used to work is 2545 Arden Way in Sacramento. Its pretty much at the corner of Arden and Fulton. According to my neighbor, they are still hiring for an oil change guy.
