ok all the stuff i ordered from avalanche came in the other day.... i recieved the arms lil over a week ago for the dana 60 hi steer. i got the tie rod end version of the arms and they seem to be ALOT shorter then the pics show (ie less holes). anyways the tie rod and drag link came in friday and although its beefy im kind of confused.... why would they use right hand thread ends on each side makes NO sense to me. everytime you need to adjust it you have to take it OFF the jeep!!!! is that right or did someone not send me the right stuff..... i remember getting the part numbers for the tie rod ends from the guy at avalanche just for replacement purposes and there were 2 part numbes a L and an R. well these seem to be all R's.

another problem..... pitman arm!!!!! after explaining my setup the guy said i would defanitly need a drop pitman arm. so i got one and took it to my machine shop and had it reamed out to fit the TRE's. ok so everything is put together and the tie rod is directly under the pitman arm with about 1" of clearance.... so that has to go i need a non dropped arm. does anyone sell an arm i can just BOLT ON? I need this thing runnin asap i have a run next weekend.

ok another problem with the setup.... when i ordered the tie rod and drag link i explained to the guy that the arms didnt look long enough and he said they have never had any problems with tj's with this setup... ok cool. well it comes in and unless the tie rod is on the outer most hole it hits the track bar and springs when i turn only giving me about 1/3 of the full steering range. I tried leaving the drivers side as far out as possible and the pass side on the 3rd hole in (cant use each hole because of the size of the tre's and on top of that you have to grind them to fit side by side.... shitty design in my opinion. but i still have issues with the springs in the way.

now here is what i THINK i can do im already ALOT of money in the hole on this and running REALLY close to a deadline. i can push the axle forward a couple inches which will clear the track bar (non issue anyway) and run the tie rod on the outer most hole. then find a non drop pitman arm and run the drag link behind the tie rod..... i HOPE that will work and im HOPING the tie rod wont hit the pitman arm under compression.

anyone have any suggestions.... did avalanche f up on the tre's? ive looked at pics on their site of the yj setups and it looks like they have soooo mcuh room it just doesnt make sense to me.

thanks guys
