Hi dana 60-
How hard is it to remove the axle tubes on a ford 60 and make it a passenger side drop and not a driver side? I just got a hp 60 for a 150.00 from a guy :) Thanks for your time.

The quick answer is "if ya have to ask it's too hard for you". :flipoff2: So just send that axle to me. If you are thinking; pull the tubes and press them in the other side, then it sucks. If ya cut and reweld the outer tubes on the other sides, not too bad. Of course ya could do alittle searching and then post a "hardcore" question instead of being a lazy ass newbie dumbshit.:mad3: I'm an old lazy ass so I had Bill retube the short sides and cut the long sides for $250 each. Its the best and easiest way.:smokin:

I don't think it would be crazy hard, just maintain castor angles on both sides keeping the knuckles exact the same... You can rotate the pinion angle up while your at it. Just remember welding to cast requires a special process and special rod material. Leave adequate room for the pass side spring and make sure your shafts fit the tube length properly.

I have come to learn that most people that buy a HP60 dont really need it. they buy it so they can say they have one. I would sell it buy a chevy, and save the cash. More money to spend on hooking the chevy 60 up.

You can sell it for enough to buy a Chevy and pay for half a locker or more.
