I'll be making my mounts and getting my hoses made tomorrow. Does anyone have any good tips on how to keep the air in the lines down to a minimum during assembly and then, what's a good procedure for bleeding the system off?

Easy

assemble evrything then fil with flid and jack up the front of the vehicle and cycle a few times with the engine off and thats about it. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Anything with a reservoir should bleed out by itself real fast. Just put it together and fill it with oil. keep the reservoir filler opng. as high as possible.

And make sure the lines come out of the top of the ram, ot the side or bottom. Otherwise, you'll end up with air trapped in the ram itself...

I'm not sure if my stock PS reservoir is going to hold enough fluid, what's going to happen if I put another reservoir in 8" below that one?

That should be fine as long as it sealed.

I run a rock ram hydraulic steering setup with a hydro boost brake setup. This means my power steering pump runs the rock ram and the brake booster. The brake booster is higher than the steering pump. What is the concern of having the reservoir the highest point in the system?

You run the risk of having the fluid drain back down into the resevoir causing it to overflow and causing air in the system. I beleive Ned had this problem and thats partially why he went back to a box and added the rock ram.
