Would like to say hello to everyone here, I'm new to the forum and used the search to try to find a answer to my question. Found alot of good info. but most seems to go the other way, or covers part of my questions, so please forgive me if I'm covering things that have already been said.
I have a 1989 F250 with a 5.8 and a C6 trans. the eng. has a bearing knock.
I also have 1993 F150 with a 5.0 and EOD trans. that is wrecked (totaled).
I would like to put the 5.0 in the 250, now my questions.
(1) Will the 5.0 bolt to the C6 (would like to use that trans.the EOD is rough.
(2) I have all the wiring and PCM from the wreck can all that switch to the 250.
(3) motor mounts are thry the same or which to use
(4) exhaust Y-pipe from the 150 fit in the 250.
Any help or advice would be appreached. Thanks in advance.

The motor mounts will work just that the 5.0 will sit lower due to the fact that the 351 has a hight deck hight. The C-6 will work dependin on the bellhousing , the exhust might be to high due to the fact the 351 had a higher deck hight and the 5.0 pcm should just plug in the where the exhisting one is since the should be Obd 1 still

The 351 Y-pipe will be 4" too wide.
Motor mounts and the c-6 should bolt up.

Just FYI the 302 is not going to love the c-6 in a f250.

It should bolt in, Tranny and motor mounts. The fan should be in the same place also. Don't know about the torque converter to flywheel though...
That may differ between EOD and C6 converter.
The flywheels do not interchange, Different Balance.

I figured that the 302 and the C6 in a 250 are not the best combo. But the 250 is in very good shape body and cab wise, and I have the wreck with a good motor that I can use with hopefully not alot of cash out lay just the work of switching things over. Not looking for a heavy duty truck or any kind of tow rig or real off roader. Just an everyday driver with not a big out lay.
Thanks for all the replys.

sell the 5.0 and find a low milage 5.8 to put back - - smogging will require a trip to a referee station - a 5.0 and a c6 will suck power wise

but
the 5.0 will bolt to the tranny and the motor mounts, you will need the head pipe from the 5.0 - the fan and shrouds are the same for 5.0-5.8 as the deck height is diffrent not the WP location - as long as the 5.0 wasnt mass air then just use the 5.8 harness and the 5.0 comp. but you will have to lie to the computer and tell it that the trans is in N all the time - or the engine might run strange ( due to not having an OD tranny to control )

get a 5.8 - and bolt it in :flipoff2:

+1. They might not have the same smog laws out in penisalvania though.

I doubt there is much of any smog in lancaster. Where I am located in P.A the only main concern is no rust holes bigger than a quater and of course just your normal lights, brakes, and tires being operational.
