The course is set, and some adjustments to the pits have been made to make it easier on the support crews.
Bottom line, you can support your car with one 2wd pickup. There is an additional opportunity to pit (at the beginning of the race) when the cars come back by the main pit. You would not be able to make it to the remote pit if you waited for your car to pass then. But that opportunity is only afforded so that cars can make any emergency repairs. I would not expect teams to plan on pitting then.
