Ask me next week.:D
I just picked up an almost new machine. My total cost for the bender, brand new air over hydro and 3 180* dies(1.75, 1.5, 1, 7/8) the last two being a combo size for a total of 4 different sizes for less than 2G's.

I guess the old tube shark is not the most popular item. I guess the JD2 is the way to go.

I'm just testing mine out now.
So far I really like it but I've never used anything but the HF pipe bender before.
Air over hydro is definately nice:)

The mobility of it is real nice too. Takes about 30 seconds to fold it up and it's ready to roll on it's own two wheels.

For the money I spent($2000) for this one used(once!) I don't think you could get a much better setup.

But for the full retail I think I would be looking at the JD myself.

curious to know how you like the Tube Shark Rover?

one of my buddies that I deal jeep stuff with, well his brother is going to order one within the next couple weeks.

I'm dying to try it out:D

I have the HF pipe bender unlike most that dislike them I have had goodluck with it. However I can't wait to see the tube shark in action.

I still haven't hardly used it.
What I have done with it playing around It works well.
I am concerned about the durablity of the aluminum dies; but haven't used it near enough to make an acurate judgement.
This is about all I've made.

Looked at the tubeshark before buying the JD2. Apart from price my main concern was that the tubeshark does it's bending in a vertical plane, rather than horizontal like the JD2 or pro-tools. No problem really if you are bending short stuff.

But what about trying to bend a full stick of DOM, maybe as long as 24', I would have run out of vertical space in the shop, and working outdoors in CO can suck at times of the year. As it is, manouvering and bending a long piece in a horizontal plane can be a PITA.

Anyone with a Tubeshark that can comment on this?

But my final decision was really $$$ based, hence the JD2

I never done anything that long; but even if I had a horizontal plan bender with a piece that long i would still have trouble with space for it to swing.
Like stated before the mobility it has makes it easy to roll it out of the way or to another area for more room......

thanks for the quick reply actually I didn't expect it that quick;)

I haven't personally looked at the Tube Shark other than seeing it on trucks one weekend. and hadn't heard any thing good or bad on it. Now that my buddies brother is going to get one like said before I've been dying to see it work no I won't be asking to borrow it. He asked his brother if I'd come over and help him on projects in trade for me getting to use it so. It's good for both of us after searching for a couple minutes I seen your thread about it and thought maybe you would have some feedback on it by now. Thanks again:)

I have had mine 2years. I like it. Works great. I have every size tube die(7/8-2), all of the square and rec. dies. If you can get a deal on it even better. I bought mine from Dave Sosa, he sold the rights to Isco. I guess I was in the right place at the right time. The verticle bender works nice with a 12 foot ceiling. The dies are holding up well. You need lots of lube, and the tube needs to be clean and smooth. I have mounted angle finders on two planes on the bender, I find it is easier to get repeatable bends with this set up. I am still looking for a deal on digital angle finders, but the Home Depot, Sears units work good for cheap(sears reads down, home depot reads up, if thats not clear as mud). I guess I would have to say it depends what you want out of a bender, I would rather have the Mittler Bro$. bender,I would also like to win the lottery.
