View Full Version : Porta Band Stand

I built these 15 years ago when I was a Winston Cup fabricator. We took them to the track while testing. The nice thing about these is you don't have to take the saw off the stand to change the blades. They have bolt holes in the bottom plate to bolt to a bench, and they also come with an angle plate to clamp them into a vise. They will be $75.00 plus shipping. We will also be offering the foot switch as well as the saws. We take credit cards. PAT Pending. Please include phone number for shipping purposes with UPS.

Very cool. I like that. If I had a Porta Band, that would be on the top of my list.

gotta say I like how the milwaukee one rotates but I guess that isn't necessary and $75 is better than what they want :)

Will be eh? When? Need a tester? :)

My portaband is probably my favorite tool and that would be a nice touch. Any savings for it in "kit" form? Most people have welders that would be buying this..

The stands are ready now! And will be in kit form also for $50.

what's the difference between the 50 and 75 $ kits? Will any brand fit?

Tigman

Welded in a jig fixture or an unwelded kit is the price difference! As for now it fits the Milwaukee deep throat 6236 model. Other makes soon to follow!

How about the foot switch? Is that included in any of the kits? Do you have any pictures of it?

Thanks

These are $60 each. They are an industrial quality made of steel and have lasted 20 years in this application. The saw plugs right into the plug.

Is it any less expensive to ship in a kit form? Quote to 92071 whichever way shipping is the least.

Tigman
02-24-2009, 05:03 PM
Shipping cost the same because the material weighs the same amount. Also the next run will fit Dewalt saws in the deep throat versions.

How does the portaban mount to the plate? Im curious only because I am wondering how hard it owuld be to attach/detach the saw if i need to cut something away from the stand.

Tigman
03-19-2009, 06:47 AM
The saw mounts through the screws that mount the factory blade guard! On the Milwaukee it is 3- 10/24 screws. On the Dewalt it is 2- 1/4-20 screws.

Hey, Do you know if this will work with the new Milwaukee 6232-6N? I read that 80% of the parts interchange, so I assume that the gaurd deal would.
