I just picked up a Dan Wesson Valor. Its a 5" Goverment copy, and I cannot believe how nice it is for the money. The trigger is great. The only MIM part is the slid stop, and even some of thouse are tool steel. It fit and finish are awesome. Another neat thing is that the night sights are two tone. Yellow on the rear sight and green on the blade. Range report will follow tomorrow I hope.

1200ish

about what I was expecting. :smokin:

I'll get my Taurus, a shitton of ammo, and a little custom work done for that though. I wish I could spend some cash like that on a pistol :(

I have really liked the way my DW Pointman and CBOB have shot and stayed tight over time. They have someone who really knows how to set up their triggers as well. There is a Dan Wesson Forum over at 1911forum. There have been several reviews of the valor. I believe they were positive

IIRC it has a Forged frame rather than the rest of the line's cast frames. That makes a difference to some and accounts for part of the $1200

DOOOOOO EEEEEEET :flipoff2:
