jones 08-19-2002, 10:26 AM I bought my Zuke with a body lift and installed a 1.6 8v engine shortly after. Air cleaner fit no problem. Now the time has come to take the body lift out, and ya you guessed it. The air filter is hitting the hood. I already cut the hood support out and it still won't fit. A different setup is what I need. Just wondering what you guys have done before I get creative. :D mini4by 08-21-2002, 05:05 AM Some folks use the EFI sammy setup. I used a spring eye bushing as my front body mount, and move the front square pad back under the firewall body mount to add a teeny lift there. Lifts the nose just enough to clear the intake. I just added a little to the body mounts. I also loosened the hood hinges and raised it a bit. Now I'm on the lookout for the stock Zuke EFI air cleaner set up. Does it bolt right up to the 1.6 throttle body? Thanks.:D ZuksRule 08-22-2002, 02:12 PM It will bolt up, I did it yesterday, kinda snug. You also need to snag the collar off of a 1.3 intake that is bolted on top the intake for the air tube to sit over and br tightened to. | |
