now I've got this aggravating vibe at about 55-60 mph. generally speaking, should the front axle be rotated more forward or backward. My upper arms are only adj. by two positions. I though CV ds's were supposed to be at 0 at the pinion. cuz mine looks like it's right at about 0 and I even put my t-case drop back on and only helped a little.

Go get your front driveshaft balanced.

Before it wasn't always turning now it is, because it wasn't turning all the time the OE specs were different it just needs to be fine tuned. Shouldn't be more then a few minutes and a couple of bucks at any driveline shop.

good idea freak, go see Rene

also, what tires are you running?

lastly, usually even w/ a CV the ds angle doesn't hurt being a degree or two down. hell, my rear is a degree or two up. every application is a bit different; it's not a science, play w/ it a bit.

You generally want the rear pinion at about 1 -2 degrees below the transfercase output. This is because in most vehicles under load (acceleration) the pinion tries to walk down the ring gear tilting the pinion up slightly. If it is at 0 degrees at rest it will actually be beyond that slightly. You shouldn't have as much of a problem with a vehicle using control arms as someone running leaf springs though. There may be something else going on other than the angles.

When I first did the one piece shaft conversion my U-joints brought on some vibes, they worked them self out after a few months.

Rene, over at USA DL? yeah he's helped me out a couple times.

still got the balding BFG's. any extra tires at your house?:D

and like I said, my uppers only have two positions they can go in and I've got them on the back holes. otherwise I have no adjustment.

my back doesn't vibrate at all. so not worried about it. I'll try balancing the fr ds and see what that does, otherwise I'm just gonna take it off cuz I'm not planning on riding for 2-3 months anyway, well whenever we can go to lake kincaid again.
