What's the biggest size boggers you guys with 22r's & 22re's run? I was running 35.00 X 16.00's and in 2nd gear low it would start to bog in certain area's and I would have to sip the clutch to keep up the rpm's. I would have dropped into 1st but with 5.29's I didn't want to crawl around in the mud.

I didn't want to crawl around in the mud.

I don't think you are going to have much of a choice with a 4 banger.

My friend's death trap yota, cut 39.5's, stock 4.10's. He plays in 1st gear 4 low and just kinda creeps anywhere he wants to.

Im running 35x14.5 boggers on my 22re. The engine has headers, cam, exhaust, and bored .40 over. 5.29's in the axles and lockrights. In 4 low 3rd I can scream through mud like nobodys business:flipoff2:

I used to run the 16/35/r15 boggers on the rear and 36x14.5 radials on the front with a 4.88. Like you said I couldn't keep up the wheel speed. I went the complete other direction (skinnys) and picked up a set of 34.10.50 LTBs. They don't pull like boggers, but I find I have a lot more fun because I'm able to spin them.

I had a friend that used to run 44's with a 22r. He broke a few ring gears but it worked pretty well. Don't know what gears he ran though.

I run 35x14.5 boggers on my 4runner, they do pretty good with the 22re. In 2wheel drive i can spin them and keep them clean. In 4 wheel high i just dont have enough motor to keep all four spinning. 4low works good in 1st gear but in 2nd they do bog the motor down a little if im in really thick mud.
