so I've moved on, working on the slashed electrics in my 76 K5 Blazer...
feel free to move this if you dont think its hardcore enough, I'd post it in the general 4x4 discussion but it involves a specific chevy so ....

1) I tried searching for it but no one has a decent pinout of the wiper motor, can someone explain to me what pins do what?

2) how the heck to you wire the rear brake, turn indicators?

I have one lead coming from the brake switch at the pedal, then I have two turn indicators common sense would dictate that I would tie the two of them together for stopping, then tie into each of them with the wires from the right and left indicator stalk. but that leaves a short, so every time I turn on the right or left indicator, both will flash ... as well as when braking and turning the light wouldnt flash...

Thanks for the reply man, I appreciate it....

I have a haynes manual but with no real explanation of what I am reading I found that I am either wrong or the manual is wrong most of the time. plus for what I need (pinouts of the wiper/washer) haynes seems to lack this information, they are fine for telling me what the wires do, sort of but they dont tell me what the pinouts are...

Now this is totally from memory, and my references are at home... But knowing that the yellow wire is ALWAYS hot, and the wiperswitch grounds the other two terminals in various combinations to get hi and lo speeds while allowing the motor to "park" anytime after the wipers are turned off. Then the two terminals over by themselves are for the washer pump solenoid.

awesome I'll try that, heating one pin and then sorting combinations of pins...
