The participative nature of those events is the appeal. Everyone's a part of the show, a part of the party. Same goes here - we get 1,000 people at a real race & 6,500 at a free for all. I'm just saying if you take Joe Blow off the street who doesn't have a 4wd or care to own one and park him in the bleachers STRICTLY to watch, he's going to get a better show at a real race.

hmmmmm dont know if i agree or not. 2 secs in 200ft is pretty wild. but 67" tractors 1000 hp and 1/2 mile of mud ranging from 6" - 4ft' is always interesting too. up here in jersey me and my buddy organized a 200ft track at the local speedway and we also have very few local mud pits. Myself, I'd rather watch the local wheeling than the organized stuff, but the average Joe is hard for me to speak for.

Nope, didnt even waste my time going down there new years day due to the cold...

it wasnt to bad. I had on 3 layers + insulated coveralls, and i really didnt start getting cold until around 330, right about the time they start to kick everybody out. it died out around 3, which kind of sucked..but you missed a couple of roll overs.

The free-for-all events that typically produce the nudity (or nearly so) don't make for much of a show other than the girls, but a full-on race is another story altogether ;)

ummm, i'm pretty much a full blown mud guy races backyard events and full blown free for alls. the events in florida which are free for alls will never be touched by any event other then maybe the superbowl or nascar. Them events show ya what people want. Even an all out rock guy/mud hater. I could garauntee he will have a freat time. I make the trek from Jersey to Fla at the minimum of once a year, I dont think theres any other event that could make me drive that far. oh this goes way beyond the girls as well
