and yes i sirched

Kel-Tec p-11 in 9mm
purchased the gun new at Cabelas a friday ago for 280.

first 200 rounds were a learning experience, I have never owned a subcompact nor have I ever owned a 9mm. After purchase I stripped the gun and took a look at everything. Its a double action internal hammer and heavy pull trigger.

after 400 rounds in the last week the things I like about this gun.

Having medium to large sized hands this gun suprisingly fits into my hands very well. The double action ensures this gun will not go off unless I pull the trigger. The gun makes a nice healthy bang sound and seems to like winchester 115gr and blazer brass 9mm, which is good because i like cheap ammo for the range. The gun also has a nice light feel to it and draws easily from a front jeans pocket or a rear pocket. Groupings were a little low but after compensating the gun is spot on everytime.

The things I did not like about this gun

my wife having smaller hands and shorter fingers has a hard time with the trigger. The trigger also seems to be heavier than my dog. The ten round magazine doesnt seem to fit perfectly and sometimes will wiggly in the mag cavity.

all in all I like this gun for the fun factor and the ability to conceal in a pocket easily.

My recomendation, If you got an extra 300 bucks laying around go grab one for the fun factor.

One awesome feature of the P11 is that it can use S&W 59 series magazines.

Another positive is that it can use +P ammunition; just not a steady diet of it.

The fact that you have double strike capability is very nice, and the lack of a magazine safety is good, IMO.

The trigger is the downfall of this gun. It has a long pull, stacks, and breaks at a very mushy 10-12 lbs. Double taps are slow, and rapid fire really emphasizes good follow through.

P11 is freaking huge compared to a P32.

I wouldnt say its HUGE compared to the P32
it is a bit larger but any smaller and this thing would be smaller than my di....
uhm on second thought it would be smaller than my wallet.

:-) yeah wallet thats it.

all in all a good gun nothing id like to be stuck in a firefight with but a good ankle or pocket gun

No, but you can get spacers or baseplates that make up for the difference in length.

very nice
did you add anything to it yet or have any plans to add to it?

I was looking at one at the gunshop but for 400 new i would rather have a xd .45 acp tactical.

While I can not find the P-11 on the State list, two shops said they were sold out and backordered
