Its time for me to start mine - it will be a total tube frame 4 1/2 seater -2 x.120 main 1.500 .095 sub braces - 4.3 vortec- ultimate marlin -d-44, 4 way steering - the diff's i'm thinking to roll them almost up side down so the diff cover is to the bottom- wep like a 2 1/2 ton rockwell- for 2 reasons - i can gain 2 1/2 inches ground clearance and i can run a driveline brake off the pinion along with the 80 degree c/v off the now bad pinion angle - its a little out there but i think it should work for my needs- oh yeh the driveline now will be completly out of the way and the t- case angle will be sweet- along to the rest- 4 link up front with nitro shocks about 15" stroke - rear should be a 3/4 eliptic - wheel base of 98" and weight around 2,500 along with 39.5 swampers- so is it a good start? Jess

Sounds neat man, so you're gonna put the CV end of the driveshaft on the pinion, and then a disc brake on the t-case?

If I were you I would go 2.5ton militaries. They would be sufficiently cheaper than d44's and with the extra $$$ you could afford 44" Boggers. It would definitely add weight to the vehicle, but it would be low, so you would have a better COG.

Later man!!!

PS> i will prob call you next week about my rear shaft...

the 80 degree c/v at the diff- and also the rotor off the top off the pinion also - kinda unique- the pinion seal will be on the top pinion brg- inside to have a resevior for the pinion brg- on top- i'll get pics when we get to that point - Jess
