i have a border collie german shepard mix. black and white. the dog is a year old. the reason i have to get rid of him is i have to move, and their is no pets allowed in the new house. i also can not find time for him. he is untrained, and can definetly have a better life with some one that can work with him. he has all his shots, but is not nutered. he is a quick learner, but i dont have the time to keep working with him all the time. he has some bad habbits. he has put holes in our lawn, he has gottin into food, and has gottin into the house while we are gone and got into the trash. the dog can be a good pet. he is way to friendly. hes actually scared of mostly everything i dont understand why, i dont beat him. he is creat trained. he has been very good with not doing his thing in the house. we use a dog door, but he could probably learn not to use it. got to get rid of him soon, we need to start packing up to move. call me at 530-681-8287 or e-mail at rcretard@aol.com

Wow. one of the smartest breeds for sure, ours was such a handful as a pup, we were going out of our minds....but with some specific border collie training and "jobs", she is amazing with the kids.

The last dog I had cost about a $1000.00 year will grooming and vet bills sell your 4x4 and get your self cliped. Same some money buy a house. Also fix things so your not just another numb person in the US.

It's not that he is scared of everything they are very smart and sensitive (a very small change in voice tone they will notice) dogs. I just got my 2nd border collie 2 months ago and the 2 of them are a handful but they are great dogs to have and very loyal to me, I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Anyone who is interested in anything that has border collie in it they need big areas to run (lots of energy)

and well i had no problems they all listen stay and respect me.. all you got to do in order to have them in order is run them for about 2 hours each day

I just picked up a Pure Border Collie from a person in Colorado that had the same reasons for giving him up, There are Border Collie Rescue facilities that you can contact that will help you find him a home or just take him and get a him a Better home.
I agree with the second post though, Why get a Dog if you don't plan on doing whats necessary to keep him for his/her entire life like FIND ANOTHER HOUSE to move in. What the hell is wrong with people.
