Well i need to by a reman head and was wondering if a head with casting numbers 2686 or 7120 fit a 96 Cherokee sport with a casting number 0630?


If not, which ones would, or would it absolutely have to be the same casting number?

i know all AMC/Jeep heads are compatable, even the HO on the old cj 4.2 block.
i think you just need to consider if they '96 and up to be sure get the HO model, tj's heads should be all HO.

The 7120 head is more like the 0630 head as far as how it flows. I think the only difference is the 7120 has the temp sender port drilled and tapped at the rear drivers side of the head and the 0630 does not.
