I need 2 brackets to mount some 1 5/8 DOM to a flat surface.

O

Thats similar to what I going to do with it. Maybe something like a saddle mount or mini axle perch. Searching through the vendors options didnt find what I want.

eeeh...no.

Im building a traction bar crossmember between my framerails. Due to fitment I will have to mount it under the frame. There will be a lot of rotational force applied to it so I didnt want to flat weld it to the frame.

This is kinda what I was thinking. I know its a little askew but its obviously a paint shop quickie.

Get some 2x3 or 2x4 rect tubing, chop saw, cardboard templates, and a torch. Get to work. You could even use some plate to close the ends up if you think you will need it. That what I would do anyways.

I hadnt thought of 2x3 box tubing. That would work fine.

Thanks

I made my crossmember from 2.5" x .25" square tube. Plates are 1/4" and bolted with four 9/16" Gr. 8 bolts on each side.

Like said before. You can use a hole saw to cut your plates for the tube, torch and a grinder for the rest to clean them up. To make them them the same stack them together and grind until they are equal.

Here is what I made with a torch, grinder, welder and a drill.

? still building it, but from critiques on my build from people on pirate "like shit". But it isn't a rock crawler, it is a mud racer.
