All the local places (Kragen, sears, ect.) only seem to cary the short ones.

I need some nice tall ones for my lifted '85 toyota.

Rig is curently on a 3" list w/ 33s, soon to be on a 5" lift w/ 35-37ish tires. Though I do plan to get some little tires for use in the garage.

Thanks.

Get the 12 ton ones...nice wide base so your truck won't fall on you in your driveway.

I got the next size down HF ones...I think they were 6 ton? They extend to 24" and were on sale in the store for $19 <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> ... although that extra 6" would sure be nice

I have a pair of pipe stands, 2500 lb rating per. You can get them from Grainger, # 4CX07 or http://www.ridgid.com/catalog/56.html

Yeah they look pretty wimpy in the pic, but trust me they are the beefiest stands i've seen. I dropped my rig once and went out and got these the next day. Well worth the $70.. don't be cheap when it comes to safety.

I Just built myself a set out of 2x2" box tubing with a piece of 1-3/4" i.d. pipe that slides in very snug. minimum height is 2'. they are very beefy. The bottom is a plus 2 ' by 2' with 45 degree gussets to the main shaft. If i had to do it over i would make the gusstes a little longer but even now them seem to be indestructible. I will try to get some pics.
